Here's a terrific red from the Minervois, a little know region in the Languedoc Roussillon region of France close to the famous walled city of Carcassonne. A blend of 80 % Syrah and 20 % Grenache Noir, it shows deep ink garnet-red with purple tints. Aromas are complex and rich with rosemary, blackcurrant, black cherries and garrigue.
